There are so many fun things to do on and off property here at Torchbearers Yamanakako. Check out some of these optional activities.
Campfire
A great way to spend an evening. Chairs are all set up for you and extra wood is provided to ensure that the fun lasts well into the evening (at least two hours). Smores not included (but encouraged!). (2000 yen per fire)
Bento Picnic Lunch
Take your lunch on an adventure! Explore Yamanakako easily with our obento packed lunch option. Our kitchen will prepare a bag for each person complete with everything you need for a picnic lunch. Your lunch includes a fresh, delicious Japanese-style obento lunch box (purchased from a local supplier), a 340ml (190ml for children) canned drink, two homemade cookies, napkin, and chopsticks. Take your picnic down to the lake or on a hike (full service lunch fees apply).
Challenge Course
Torchbearers Yamanakako’s new Challenge Course is a wonderful way to spend time together as a group. The course consists of a series of team games, challenges, trust activities, and experiences that combine fun and challenge to achieve specific goals with your group. Your group members will develop greater trust and teamwork, experience real adventure in a safety-first environment, increase self-esteem and confidence, and improve their collaboration and communication skills. Great as an icebreaker, team builder, or as part of a larger training goal, these activities are fun and meaningful for all ages. Pricing varies depending on program length. Please inquire with the office.

Musical Instruments
Each of our meeting rooms are equipped with electric pianos for your group’s complimentary use. Other instruments such as an acoustic guitar, a Japanese koto, and even an electric drum set are available for rent. Please see our rental document for more information.
Sound System
Your group has never sounded so good! Rent Torchbearers Yamanakako’s brand new Bose sound system. Easy to use and able to project to a small, intimate group or to a large audience. Please see our rental document for more information.
Baby Beds
If you are bringing little babies along, you may wish to request the use of a baby bed. We have a limited number of these baby cots available so please request them through our office as far in advance as possible.
Bicycle Rental
We have a limited number of bicycles available for rent. Please inquire with the office.
