We are praying for flexible, willing workers to join our community. Japanese fluency is a great asset to us, but Japanese language ability is not necessary for all roles.

Torchbearers Yamanakako is undergirded by a staff team of both long-term and short-term workers. Length of volunteer terms vary depending on the role and visa availability. Times of greatest need are typically from the middle of April to the middle of August. Full-time, year-round staff members are also being considered.

2019 Summer Volunteers Needed

Join our Guest Services team this summer!
We are in need of people who can come with a “how can I help” attitude and who, as unto the Lord, are willing to serve the Japanese church groups that use the Center during the summer with joy. It is not glamorous work– cleaning toilets, chopping wood, preparing food, serving guests, doing dishes– but it all allows us to provide a safe place of rest and rejuvenation for a small and often weary church. There is always lots of construction and building maintenance to help with as well. |
