Charlie McCall

Charlie was born and raised in Texas. He attended His Hill, the Torchbearer Bible school in Texas the year it opened. After seven summers of working in the camp program at His Hill, graduating from Columbia International University (B.A in Bible), doing an internship at His Hill, and graduating from Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM in Systematic Theology), he was invited to return to His Hill in 1987. He has served as the director there since 1989.
He and his wife Patsy met at His Hill while working in the summer camp together. Eight years late they married. The Lord has blessed them with three sons and a daughter, who are all now married and have blessed Charlie and Patsy with five grandsons. They’re still waiting for some granddaughters!
In addition to serving at His Hill, Charlie pastors an E. Free Church. In his free time, he enjoys hunting and shooting sports.
About the Course
1st Kings:
1st Kings is a book full of practical lessons on Christian living. The principal characters are Solomon and Elijah -- two men who were flawed but were greatly used by God when they were walking in humility and dependence. Sadly, Solomon’s life also demonstrates the destructive influence that can come through a believer when he turns away from God. Elijah, on the other hand, is an example of the intimacy with God that is possible even after disobedience. There is much to be challenged and encouraged by in this book.
