Gary & Pauline Carlson

Gary & Pauline Carlson have lived in Japan since 1983. They are missionaries with Serve Globally, the world mission outreach arm of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Over the course of their years in Japan, they have been involved in starting three churches. Gary teaches missiology at Covenant Seminary (located in Tokyo), and Pauline has served many years on the board of directors of Christian Academy in Japan. Gary enjoys playing the banjo, Pauline likes to explore new neighborhoods on her walks, and they both are always looking for a fun new coffee shop or restaurant.
About the Course
Staying the Course
We live in fast-paced times, with many demands and distractions. Whatever you do to serve Christ, how do you stay positive, hopeful and enthusiastic over the long haul? Gary & Pauline will share from their 36 years in mission work in Japan, bringing in insights from experiences and personal study. We will look at spiritual practices, self-care and other means of staying strong in life and service to God and his world.
