Rocky & Marla Ayatsuka

Rocky and Marla Ayatsuka are missionaries and music evangelists through Aroma Ministries, founded in 2001 to advance the Gospel message in Japan through worship, discipleship and evangelism. They live and work in Kitakyushu, Japan, but travel all over Japan in the work they do.
Rocky (Hiroaki) was born and raised in Japan in a Christian family. He was raised singing bluegrass country music as a quartet with his family and began ministry full time at the age of 23. He has been doing concerts, writing songs, recording, and producing Christian music albums, supporting missionary work, teaching, and preaching since that time.
Marla is a native Texan and came to Japan as a short term missionary after graduating from Texas A&M University in 1997. She was assigned to minister to students at the Christian school, Seinan Jo Gakuin, which is in Kitakyushu. She and Rocky met and fell in love there, and have been married since 2000. What was originally to be a two year term of mission service never ended! Marla has been serving the church in Japan through music, English teaching, Bible teaching, and discipleship since her arrival in 1997.
Currently Rocky and Marla continue to evangelize through concerts and music ministry, while also leading in planting a church in Kitakyushu.

About the course
A Life of Worship
From the beginning of both Rocky and Marla's involvement in music ministry they have had a heart to be "lead worshipers" and not worship leaders. Leading a life of worship 24/7 in all they do, they want to inspire and lead other believers to know and understand worship is not just about music or a one hour service inside a building once a week. Worship is the act of offering your whole life as a sacrifice to the Lord! Every aspect of our lives can be offered up as worship, as we serve the Lord each day. In this course, the Old Testament Tabernacle is used as a model for all the areas of our lives which can be offered up in worship, from entering His gates with thanksgiving, to offering sacrifices of our time, talents and money, to fellowship with the Lord and the Body of Christ through sharing in the breaking of bread together, prayer and corporate worship. Rocky and Marla are passionate about teaching other believers to lead a 24/7 life of worship!
