What it's all about...

Our 8 week, English Speaking Bible School (May-July) is time devoted to knowing our indwelling, risen Lord and Saviour more personally. Come discover with us what it means to Love God, to Learn from His word, to Live in community, and to let your life shine as a Light to God's glory. Part-time students welcome!
Love |
'And He answered, "You shall Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbour as yourself."' Luke 10:27
Torchbearers Yamanakako is a place where you can nurture your relationship with Love Himself: Jesus Christ! In the same way as it takes time to cultivate human relationships, Bible School is a great way to set time aside to deliberately invest in your relationship with God. |
Learn |
'Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.' Romans 12:2
Come and transform your mind by studying God’s living, active word together with us. Lecturers are drawn from Torchbearers centers worldwide, as well as from major missions organizations such as OMF and SEND international. Teachers come to share their passion for Christ and to walk students through a journey of discovery via in-depth Bible study. |
Live |
'I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.’ John 17: 23
Come and discover what community life is all about. So much of the learning that happens at Torchbearers Yamanakako is a result of the family-like atmosphere that we live in, the relationships that are built, and the things that we experience together as a community during the term. |
Light |
'In the same way, Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven’ Matthew 5:16
What better place to let your love for Jesus shine than in a country where Christ Followers make up less than 1% of the population? Our center provides opportunities to love and serve both the Japanese Church as well as those in the local community who don’t yet know Christ. |
